Manufacturer Warranty Coverage
Most mobile audio/video and truck acc. products we offer come with a manufacturer’s warranty that typically ranges from one to five years, depending on the item. It’s important to note that this warranty is a direct agreement between you, the customer, and the product’s manufacturer. While we’re here to facilitate the process, the actual coverage and terms are set by the manufacturer.
Handling Warranty Issues
Should you have an issue with a product within the warranty period, you will need to provide proof of purchase, such as your receipt. You have the option to handle the warranty claim directly with the manufacturer, or we can assist you in facilitating that process. Keep in mind that the customer is typically responsible for any shipping costs required to send the item back to the manufacturer for service.
Physical Damage, Misuse, and Warranty Denials
Manufacturers generally do not cover physical damage under their warranties. For example, if a subwoofer has a hole or a scrape on the cone, the manufacturer will likely deny the claim. Additionally, if they determine that the product was misused—for instance, if an amplifier was pushed beyond its recommended settings or otherwise abused—this can also lead to a warranty denial. These decisions are made by the manufacturer, and we have no control over their policies in this regard.
Warranty Registration Requirements
Many manufacturers require that you register your product’s warranty directly with them shortly after purchase. It’s the customer’s responsibility to complete this registration according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If a warranty claim is denied because the product was not registered, we cannot be held responsible. Please ensure you register your product to maintain valid warranty coverage.
Warranty Timeframes and Process Duration
Please be aware that the time it takes for a manufacturer to complete a warranty repair or replacement can vary. It might take a few days, or it could take several weeks to a month, depending on their process. We do not have control over these timeframes, as they are solely determined by the manufacturer.
Lifetime Warranty on Installation Labor
While the product warranty itself is handled by the manufacturer, all installation labor performed by BZ Shade and Sound is covered by a lifetime warranty. This means that if an issue arises that is directly related to our workmanship—such as a wire coming loose, a connection failure, or an installation-related problem—we will take care of it at no charge. This lifetime labor warranty covers anything that falls back on how the product was installed, not the product itself. It does not cover failures caused by product defects, physical damage, misuse, or manufacturer-related issues, but you can rest assured that we stand fully behind our work for as long as you own the vehicle.
